Marisa Arbona-Ruiz brings 20+ years of broadcast media experience to KLA as an Emmy and Telly award-winning producer, director, screenwriter, journalist and narrator for film, television, radio, podcasting and multimedia. Beyond leading KLA’s media, her projects also include documentary, public service announcements (PSAs), investigative stories, TV magazine series, and arts and culture reporting for NPR, NBC and other outlets. She is a former Executive Vice President and international liaison of Women In Film & Video of Washington, DC, and is a former Co-Chair of Communications for Women In Film & Television International.
Marisa lives life with curiosity, creativity, passion and purpose. She has traveled to many parts of the world exploring cultures and cuisine. Behind the scenes she’s a part-time musician who has performed in concert halls from the Kennedy Center and the White House to clubs and festivals. She met Ken Leiner at a concert and they’ve been music and dancing buddies ever since.
